Get ready for a howling good time, fellow nurses and dog lovers! The RN Network is excited to announce our Howl-O-Ween Pawty, a costume contest where your furry best friend can steal the spotlight in their most creative, spooky, or funny Halloween costume. As part of the RN Network's commitment to building a vibrant and supportive nursing community, we're adding a dose of fun to this year's spooky season with an event that celebrates not only our fantastic nurses but their beloved pets, too.
We know how important it is to take time for self-care and fun, and what better way to do so than by showing off your dog’s adorable (or frightening!) Halloween costume? This fun-filled event is open to all RN Network members, and submissions will be shared on the Nursing Matters Group on Facebook for all to enjoy. Even better, we have some fabulous prizes for the winning entries: 1st place wins a $50 Target gift card, 2nd place receives a $25 Target gift card, and 3rd place takes home a $10 Target gift card. It’s time to get creative, share your pet’s best look, and be part of our growing community! Let's dive into Howl-O-Ween Pawty: The RN Network's Spooktacular Costume Contest for Dogs.

How to Enter Your Pet in the Contest
Participating in the Howl-O-Ween Pawty is simple and fun. All you need to do is take a picture of your pet in their best Halloween costume and submit it to The RN Network - Nursing Matters Group on Facebook. If you aren't already a member, join us! Post your submission by October 30th to ensure your pet is considered for the prize. Once posted, share your post with friends, family, and fellow nurses to cheer your pet by liking and commenting on their photo. The top three costumes, as chosen by our panel of judges, will be announced on October 31st at noon EST on the Facebook page.
Your creativity is the key! Whether your dog goes as a spooky ghost, a superhero, or a quirky character, we can’t wait to see the different ways your pet will shine. Be sure to include your pet’s name and a brief description of their costume to make your entry stand out.

What the Judges Are Looking For
Our panel of judges will be looking for costumes that embody creativity, originality, and, of course, that extra dose of cuteness! Whether it’s a DIY costume that shows off your artistic side or a store-bought outfit that makes your pup the star of the show, the key to winning is standing out. Keep in mind that the judges will also be considering how well the costume fits your dog’s personality and how it celebrates the Halloween spirit.
We encourage participants to have fun with their submissions. Share a story behind the costume or a fun anecdote about your pet to bring even more charm to your entry. After all, Halloween is a time for fun, laughter, and a little bit of spooky magic!
How to Boost Your Chances of Winning
One of the best parts about the Howl-O-Ween Pawty is that it’s a great opportunity to engage with the RN Network’s community of nurses and their families. Once you’ve submitted your entry, share the post with friends and encourage them to support your furry friend. A well-loved post with plenty of likes and comments will definitely catch the judges’ eyes!
In addition to likes, consider making your pet’s photo even more special by including creative backgrounds, props, or other family pets in costume to complement the Halloween theme. The more fun and engaging your submission, the better your chances of winning one of our fantastic prizes.
